We’d like to see the heel plate go to soft urethane combined with EVA foam so it’s still adjustable but isn’t that hard nylon base anymore. It has more of a skate feel than a snowboard feel. It just doesn’t have the shock absorption that most competitors have and to us, that is a bit of a problem. Shock Absorption: This is our one real issue with the Flux TT. It’s not super smooth but it never catches or gets stuck. Ratchet System: Right there with the higher end ratchet systems in Flux’s line. You feel secure and surrounded but not in danger of being squished….don’t ask how I know this… She’s strong but won’t squeeze your foot like Lenny does the rabbit. It’s like a nice hug from a careful giant woman. It would be fun to see Flux do something here to make the board feel a little more lively underfoot but it’s still a good binding to get a butter and press going.īoot Support: Same great firm hold and feel. Tip-Tail Response: There is a nice curve up at the sides of the binding that allow it to butter better than it should but the binding directly underfoot has a lot of contact underfoot. There is more edge to edge response than you would think if you are playing around with the binding in the shop. It’s got a good all mountain moderate turning board feel but it can handle semi-challenging turning boards as well without a problem and especially so if you don’t like stiff high backs. Heel-Toe Response: Very good response that feels like it’s a little more than the DS and less than the SF. The toe and ankle strap don’t really cause pressure points for most riders. Very soft on the inside but supportive on the outside ankle strap. It integrates very nicely with most boards and boots.Ĭomfort: Super comfortable. It’s very easy to dial out and the heel cup can be adjusted as well as the toe ramp which allows the binding to fit well every size boot in it’s range. Tooless up top and tool needed at the disc. Still, it feels medium-ish and supportive.Īdjustability: Same great adjustability as all mid to high-end Flux bindings.
